Madelyn Carthew - Lady Macbeth
Madelyn Carthew, better known as Maddy when she's not in trouble, has been acting in Brisbane for the last two years. Making her stage debut in Brisbane Arts 'Frankenstein', she has since played in 'Kaleidoscope' for Introspect Theatre, and has just wrapped her first short film 'Kill Truth' directed by Bjorn Weedbrook. Maddy is proud and honoured to be cutting her teeth in her first Shakespearean production in 'Lady Macbeth Uncut', and is keen for audiences to see the women of this story in a kinder light.

Stephanie O'Shea - Coira
Stephanie entered the Brisbane theatre scene for the first time in 2018 as a choreographer for Brisbane Arts Theatre’s first production of Shrek the Musical. Since then, she’s been involved in various productions including 50 Shades! The Musical Parody (2018), and later co-directed a second production of Shrek. In 2023, she appeared as Dolly in One Man, Two Guvnors, and was also a co-director for the production. Soon after, she made her solo directorial debut with her childhood favourite, High School Musical. In early 2024, she played Younger Elizabeth in Brisbane Arts Theatre’s production of When Theatre Rain Stops Falling, which was a bucket list show for her. Since then, she starred in 10 Reasons by Vox Productions, and more recently, she spooked children and parents alike as “Witchy” in SeaWorld’s Spooky Nights. Stephanie is thrilled to be highlighting the abilities and talents of Shakespearian women in Lady Macbeth Uncut."

Peta Townend - Morag
From a young age Peta was interested in the theatre and involved in school and local productions. With qualifications as a mathematician and electrical engineer she has followed a technical and analytical path in a variety of industries. It was because she has always felt like a square peg in a round hole, that she followed a lifelong dream to tap into her creative side through the arts and take acting classes. She has been an enthusiastic student since 2018 and has being involved in many productions including Dodger (2019), Making Money (2020), the iconic Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest (2022), Things I Know to Be True (2023), Under Milkwood (2023), Ebenezer (2023), Harvey (2024), Murder on the Menu (2024), 10 Reasons (2024) and The Appleton Ladies Potato Race (2025).
In Lady Macbeth Uncut, Peta is delighted to tap into her inner 'weird sister' and tick off an incredible Shakespearan experience from her theatrical bucket list.

Kailah Watson - Eilidh
Kailah Watson is a former high school Drama and English teacher who has recently
returned to university to study Speech Pathology. After taking a long break from performing, she is excited to return to the stage. Over the years, she has been involved in numerous amateur productions, including playing the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz and Irene in Crazy For You. Most recently, she portrayed Tanya in
Mamma Mia with the Broadford Amateur Theatrical Society. Kailah looks forward to
being part of Lady Macbeth Uncut, where she will play Eilidh, one of Lady Macbeth’s Gentlewomen. She is very excited to be involved in this beautiful reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic, Macbeth.

Liz Hull - Lady Macduff
Since moving to Brisbane in 2021 Liz has been thrilled to revisit her childhood passion of acting. Since then she has performed in ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ plays (Alice) at Sunnybank Theatre (2022 & 2023), ‘The Sweet Delilah Swim Club’ with Villanova Players (2023), ‘Steel Magnolias’ (M'Lynn) with Mercury Theatre (2022) and Elizabeth/Lady Lanier in 'The Book of Will' with Growl theatre. Liz’s day job is a Procurement Consultant and she has a young family. While usually drawn to comedic roles, Liz is excited to be playing Lady McDuff in this exciting retelling of Macbeth and learn from such an experienced and inspiring creative team and talented cast.

CJ de Mooi - Macbeth
CJ de Mooi is an English actor who has lived in his favourite country of Australia for 3 years. He has extensive credits in London’s west end and his one person play Banana Crabtree Simon has tour the world, winning a prestigious Matilda Award in 2025 for Best Performance in a Leading Role.
He has appeared in several Shakespeare plays but is relishing the challenge of taking on the role of Macbeth which has always been one of his professional ambitions.
Although he has a feature film lead and a decade of television under his belt, CJ is delighted to be playing such an iconic role in his home city of Brisbane as being on stage is where he feels happiest. As he says “I don’t want to be an actor. I NEED to be an actor!”

Toby Chittenden - Banquo
Toby is a storyteller, writer and character actor, with a bit of stand-up comedian thrown in. He has been performing on stage, in and around the Brisbane for many years to high repute. He has a passion for live performance and takes great delight in engaging the audience and drawing them into his performances.
With a love of Shakespeare dating back to his schooldays in England, he is relishing this opportunity as part of this extraordinary cast for this innovative take on ‘The Scottish play’.

Isaiah Harrison - Rosse

Isaiah Harrison has been acting in Brisbane since 2021. Starting in Ad Astras “The Amateurs” he has also played in “Frankenstein” for Brisbane Arts Theatre, and toured the One Act Theatre Festival in “Kaleidoscope” for Introspect Theatre, picking up two ‘Best Actor in a Minor Role’ awards. He recently played in Thrive productions “Farndale’s Murder Mystery” and soon will play in PIP Theatres “Accidental Death of an Anarchist”. Isaiah enjoys what he does and only hopes and strives to continue to do so.

Shaun King - MacDuff
Shaun has been performing ever since he wrote and starred in his school play at the tender
age of 13. Shaun is an award winning actor having won awards for acting on stage, and in film, notably winning best actor at the Griffith graduate film awards, and in 2010 was the recipient of the inaugural bristix peoples choice award for best male actor for his performance in Tasmanian babes fiasco. Shaun’s films have been screened widely, and have won praise and awards at film festivals across the globe.
Shaun has appeared in a diverse range of roles from pantomime and farce, to psychological
drama. He has been seen regularly on the stage since 2002, directing or performing in over 20
shows, primarily at the Brisbane Arts Theatre including, One flew over the Cuckoo’s nest (3
times), He Died with a Felafel in his hand (twice), and Accrington Pals (just the once). Shaun is very excited to appear in this singular production.

Liam Wilson - Malcolm
Liam’s journey in the world of acting took root during his high school days, where he
delved into the creation and performance of original works. Continuing his artistic
pursuits alongside his education, Liam's talent soon garnered attention as he secured
roles in various productions for the Fraser Coast Regional Council, showcasing his skills as both an actor and musician. His collaborative efforts extended to Maryborough Players Inc, Maryborough State High School, and Macabre Theatre Company, leaving a mark with notable performances in Snapshots from Home, Macbeth, and Singing in the Rain. Having relocated to the vibrant Brisbane region, Liam redirected his energy towards his career but has recently rekindled his dedication to his artistic passions. After captivating audiences in When the Rain Stops Falling, and A Midnight Summer’s Dream, Liam plans to entertain Brisbane theatre goes once again as Malcolm in Vox Productions’s Lady Macbeth Uncut.

Adrian Hogan - Angus
Adrian stumbled onto the stage one day and still hasn't found an exit. He has performed as an actor and musician for most of his life. Recent highlights include the Strings Attached concert series with the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra and excerpts from Commedia Dell'arte and Shakespeare with the House Troupe at the Abbey Medieval Festival: Scaramouche - Commedia, Henry - Henry V, Richard - Richard III, and Borachio - Much Ado About Nothing. He made his first TV appearance in 2023 on the Discovery Channel series Outback Opal Hunters, and in 2024 played the beloved characters Lord Vetinari and Igor in Brisbane Arts Theatre's production of Sir Terry Pratchett's The Fifth Elephant. Earlier this year he played Macduff in Outdoor Theatre Community/North Brisbane Theatre Company’s Macbeth, performed in the round at Dragonfly Park in Warner.

Wayne Hinton - Duncan
After performing in some Musicals earlier in life, Wayne’s acting endeavours went on hold for many years, before he rediscovered theatre in 2018 in the form of his local Community Theatre group, SpadeWERX. He has since played numerous roles in Shakespeare (Don Pedro in Much Ado About Nothing, Oberon in A Midsummer Night’s Dream), farcical comedies (Present Laughter, Charlie’s Aunt, Hay Fever), and others including recently as Roy in Cosi and Frank in 84 Charing Cross Road, and back to Shakespeare again as Sir Toby Belch in Twelfth Night. Branched out in 2023 to play Badger in Brisbane Arts Theatre’s production of The Wind In The Willows, and discovered an even bigger world of interesting and fabulous people in the thriving Brisbane theatre scene.
