Meet The Creatives and Crew

Director and Producer
Nicky Whichelow
Nicky started her acting career with the Royal Shakespeare Company in London (The Tempest, Romeo and Juliet, Midsummer Nights Dream and Macbeth) and continued into semi-professional theatre in the UK for several years after that (Great Expectations, Death of a Salesman, The Importance of Being Earnest and Misery). After taking a break to raise a family, she moved into Voice Acting, turning professional in 2012 with over 100 commericals to her name. She appeared in 4 short films in 2023 and has been part of the Brisbane Theatre scene since 2022 (Toad/Rat in Wind in the Willows and various characters in Under Milk Wood and Ebenezer for the 2023 Christmas season, Anne Hathaway in the Book of Will. She completed the Brisbane Arts Theatre Stagecraft Level II in 2022, Uta Hagen in 2024 and Mesiner with NIDA. She Directed and Produced 10 Reasons in 2024.

Co-Director
Catherine Radbourne
Catherine trained at the University of New England receiving a Bachelor of Arts, with a double major in Theatre Studies, directing her first play at the end of her 3rd year. Catherine studied acting for three years at C3 Creative Arts College in Sydney. In the recent past, Catherine has been busy with Sandgate Theatre, directing 12 Angry Jurors and Gaslight and acting in 12 Angry Jurors (Juror 12), UpStage Theatre’s Life Drawing (Meredith), and Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles (Mrs Barrymore). This is Catherine’s first time co-directing and directing Shakespeare.

Stage Manager
Hazel Evans
Hazel has been in the Brisbane theatre scene since arriving in 2017. Having previously worked on productions in Darwin and Sydney, Hazel found their feet with Brisbane Arts Theatre where they underwent the Certificate III and IV in Live Production and Technical Services and worked on 20 productions. Working on a variety of performances from plays, musicals, youth theatre, and Shakespeare, Hazel has worn many hats; assistant stage manager, sound designer, technical operator, stage manager and production manager (though stage management is by far their favourite). This is Hazel’s first production with Vox Productions and is excited to be a part of the team telling the story of this famous Shakespearan character.

Assistant Director - Costume
Kailan Tyler-Moss
Kailan began her acting journey in 2012 and, once she left the dance world behind in 2015, she dedicated herself to gaining as much experience as possible. She participated in numerous courses around South- East QLD, along with a variety of productions ranging from Shakespearean to Interactive Theatre. At the age of 18, Kailan made her debut as a director, and her inaugural play was staged a few months later. Following this, Kailan made her film debut in the short film titled Invisibilis. Kailan is extremely excited to be focusing on directing this year, with her role of Assistant Director for Lady Macbeth Uncut and Co-Director of her original script that was staged with Sandgate Theatre in May 2025. Kailan is ecstatic to be working with such an incredible group of women for the Australian premiere of this incredible play.

Megan Brown
Lady Macbeth Uncut marks Megan’s movement from the realm of acting to directing, following multiple performances in productions across Brisbane in recent years. Having first stepped into directing with showcases of Shakespeare’s work, she is thrilled to be involved as an Assistant Director in the retelling of the famed Scottish tragedy. Megan has thoroughly enjoyed working in the Australian premiere of this play, helping bring to life the experiences and complexities of Lady Macbeth and her Gentlewomen. She is even more excited to have been able to incorporate her knowledge of Shakespearean literature, and of Medieval history from university into this production. She is incredibly grateful to Nicky for the opportunity to be an Assistant Director, and to the entire cast, creatives, and crew for making this show such a meaningful and exciting experience.

Sound Design
Zoe Power
Zoe has always had a love for the arts in all forms, pursuing music and writing. Ten years ago she found a passion for theatre and technical production and hasn't looked back.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from QUT and while she has never taken to the stage, Zoe can often be found working in a variety of roles behind the scenes.
Some of her recent credits include: Sound Designer for Frankenstein with Brisbane Arts Theatre and Stage Manager for The Hound of the Baskervilles with UpStage Theatre.

Lighting Design
Carter Firmager
Carter Jayne - She/They
Carter has a love for all aspects of live performances, with a special interest in theatre productions. They started volunteering with Brisbane Arts Theatre as a lighting and sound operator, hoping to learn more about the inner workings of theatre. She has the aspiration of becoming a lighting designer, specifically within musical theatre and music concerts. Previous work includes lighting design for Ghostlight Theatre Co., “Blood Brothers” 2024, and most recently lighting design. for “Beans Means Love” with Sandgate Theatre Inc. (May 2025). Carter is also a 2025 Technical Production Trainee with QPAC (Queensland Performing Arts Centre).

Dedicated Prompt
Toni Spry
After a long hiatus from the arts since studying drama in high school, Toni is thrilled to be back in the creative scene as Prompt for Lady Macbeth Uncut. They are especially excited to be part of this bold reimagining of Macbeth, told powerfully through a female lens, and to be working alongside the exceptionally talented Nicky Whichelow. Grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such a skilled cast and crew, Toni is proud to support this important and compelling production

Writer
Catriona Clancy
Catriona is an actor and writer of Irish heritage. She trained at The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and took lead roles in ‘Mrs Warren’s Profession, ‘Pride & Prejudice’, ‘Blithe Spirit’ and ‘Huis Clos’. For five years she also ran a theatre company, “Curious Cloud Productions”. She took the Playwriting Foundations course at The Arcola Theatre and was short-listed for Capsule Theatre Festival in 2021. Her play ‘No Issue’ was staged at Theatre 503 in July 2022. 'Lady Macbeth Uncut' was produced at The Drayton Theatre in October 2024 and she is currently adapting a novel for the stage.
